Homeopathy for Seniors Afternoon Tea at Whole Foods

What a fun afternoon I had Friday at our Seniors Tea and Talk with my co-presenter Carol Emerson, DCH over at the Whole Foods Robson Location!

We were able to chat with quite a few folks about homeopathy, their health needs and options in their health care. We also went through all our samples of Traumeel, my favourite homeopathic cream for overworked muscles, inflammation and general aches and pains (hank you to the folks over at Heel for the donation!).

Plus, Whole Foods was offering a great TeaTime meal as part of the event for $3.99, which included wild smoked salmon canape, three petite-fours and tea.

The Seniors Tea at Whole Foods Robson continues every second Friday with different speakers and food specials. Let your friends and relatives know and come enjoy tea and talk with a health specialist.

Help for Hayfever

Q. Can homeopathy help me with my hay fever this spring?

A. Absolutely! A well-chosen remedy based on your individual allergic response can greatly reduce your symptoms this season.

Did you know that the earlier in the season you address your symptoms homeopathically, the faster you’ll be able to nip your allergy problems in the bud?

Below are a few of the more common homeopathic medicines you can try this yourself. If none of these fit your symptoms, or you experience chronic a fever every year, then it may me time for a visit to the homeopath.

Allium Cepa   Suitable when your eyes and nose water profusely and discharge from the nose burns or irritates. It may feel like you just chopped an onion, and that’s what the remedy is made from!

Euphrasia   This remedy is like Allium Cepa but in reverse: it’s the eyes which have watery, burning discharge. It can also feel like there’s sand or grit in them with redness and irritation. Also helpful for sneezing and coughing occurring only in the day.

Sabadilla   Sneezing, sneezing and more sneezing are specific to this remedy! There may be a lot of discharge from the nose that “runs like a tap” and often itchiness inside the mouth. You may also be highly sensitive to odours especially perfume, essential oils and flowers.

Now is a great time to book an appointment for the $50 Hayfever Relief Clinic. The special includes a 30 minute one-on-one consultation with registered, professional homeopath – Tanya Kucey, DCH. Plus a homeopathic medicine chosen specifically for you. The clinic runs from March 21-May 31, 2011.
